The International Davey Awards Honors Sigma with Three 2014 Win’s

Davey Awards 2014 Sigma Group

The winners of The 2014 Davey Awards have been announced by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts today. With nearly 4,000 entries from across the US and around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide.

The Davey Awards is judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.

“This year’s Davey Award winners truly embody the idea of small firms with big ideas. The work entered into this year’s competition reflects a smart approach to creativity that highlights the capabilities and talents of small agencies worldwide” noted Linda Day, Executive Director of the Davey Awards. She added, “On behalf of the Davey Awards and the Academy, we applaud this year’s entrants and winners for their dedication and commitment to perfecting their craft. Congratulations once again for a job well done.”

We are excited to announce that The Davey Awards has awarded Sigma Group a Gold for Brut’s “Late,” a Silver for Panasonic’s “Dominoes,” a Silver for Panasonic’s  ”The Faceoff.”

Gold Winner | Late | Brut | Idelle:

Our campaign for BRUT worked like a cold slap in the face. “Let your man out,” featuring the “Late” TV spot, drives home Brut’s heritage as the essence of man. The spot changed Brut from an older man’s brand into one that’s buzzed about.

Silver Winner | Dominoes | Toughpad| Panasonic

We created a multi-tier campaign that transcended traditional media to create intrigue and awareness and establish the Toughpad family as one that will revolutionize an entire market. Work in tandem with multiple agency partners to deliver a comprehensive, integrated campaign that would live on a national stage.

Silver Winner | The Faceoff | Toughpad | Panasonic:

Panasonic introduced the world’s first rugged Android-powered business tablet with a TV spot featuring Abby Wambach, a gold medal U.S. women’s soccer player. The spot tells the story of a one-of-a-kind product filling a unique market niche that no other brand could fill. The campaign, “A fearless new way to do business,” showcased the unique, rugged heritage that only Panasonic can claim.

David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock – the sort of thing small firms do each year. The annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets. The Davey Awards is the leading awards competition specifically for smaller firms, where firms compete with their peers to win the recognition they deserve.
